Hillary Clinton was the last America’s Minister of State, and was chosen as one of the ‘100 World’s Most Influential People’. I would like to introduce a fun article in the newspaper that I read today about Hillary. When Hillary didn’t close the toothpaste cap properly, her father threw the cap outside and made Hillary to get it and close it right. When Hillary couldn’t keep up her math skills as well as her other classmates, her father woke Hillary up early in the morning and made her memorize her time table. Also, Hillary’s father ordered Hillary to do everything boys did because he didn’t want Hillary to fall behind in any parts. Hillary’s father was very strict and aggressive. He insulted and argued with Hillary, fought with his wife, and sometimes punished his children very harshly.
He also had very strong stereotypes. However, the aggressive father cared and encouraged Hillary when she was facing hardships.
Although Hillary’s father was very strict and fearful, Hillary recalled that her father was the one who taught the vocational ethics and perseverance. Hillary’s father taught as ‘There are no free rides to your dreams. You need to get whatever it needs to achieve your dream by yourself.’ Hillary’s close friend, Lisa Caputo, said “I can find lots of similarities in Hillary and her father. I think she learned her perseverance and train of rules exactly from her father.” I would like to give a warm praise to Hillary for her attitude of learning her strict father’s teachings with strength and patience. I thought that I shouldn’t only complain to my parents’ lessons but learn the hidden love and the encouragements as well.
